Okay, so I'm having a similar problem at my web page http://www.blossombabyclothes.com/. The difference being that after I enter a certain amount of information on one page, the page shows up blank. I delete a few lines and the page shows up again. I add a few lines and the page goes blank again. It is perplexing. It’s probably a problem with the file you are exporting. I just uploaded 1800 static pages- they work great. There were a few minor problems with the CSV file which led me to believe I was sending too much. However, a few adjustments later I realized the problem was on my end.
Try:
1- create a few pages manually
2- check them out in your mysql
3- export that table to csv
4- open it up in a program like excel
5- Copy all values from the pages you added manually and then just substitute the postname, content, date, and so on.

Also, all postnames and slugs are case sensitive. It will return a 404 error if you have capital letters unless you’ve NC’d your mod_rewrite (or have redirected everything to lowercase). If you’re not using permalinks, ignore this part.

How do you keep the spammers from eating you alive? i\’ve seen blogs with nothing but spam postings.

How do you keep some left wing extremist from posting racist or defamatory rhetoric? and if you cant stop them, what are you legally liabel when they do?

can viruses be posted to blogs?

Duke sucks. Everybody forgot it is the other north carolina team that is the national champions, not Duke. I know what your thinking though, Duke will win it this year though. Wrong. Every year somebody says they will be cutting down the nets, but someone always beats them. They are a good team, but when they aren’t very good at dancing in march recently.I do like JJ though, he is one of the recently great white players. We haven’t seen that in a while.

The latest developer version of the SpellBound extension gives you integrated spellchecking-as-you-type with Performancing as well. Very cool (it is a dev version tho, not a final release, so caveat emptor):

Awesome, thanks for stopping by Lorelle. I think maybe you misunderstood my post a little, as I am pretty familiar with standalone WP installs…I have it running on 30+ hosts right now. I didn’t realize we could use WP.com like Blogger and remote host the physical blogs. We are also running MU at Streethound and hoping to launch that soon. But, I appreciate your help as I will be checking out your links here in a minute.

While I am a volunteer for WordPress, trust me, I get no special priviledges. I created my own "site map" from scratch highlighting the most popular posts to date and a list of the categories. I'll have an article about how I did it soon, but it isn't anything special or unique and you can easily do it yourself. You can find plenty of helpful information on how to use WordPress Codex and Getting Help with Wordpress.com. For tagging, check out Adding Technorati Tags to Wordpress.com and Tagging Bookmarklet for WordPress and wordpres.com users. All categories are automatically marked as tags, so honestly, you really don't have to add anything if your topic is narrow and you aren't begging for SEO recognition. As wordpress.com continues to be a test site for the next version of WordPress and WordPressMU, do not expect to see any plugin options for a while as the developers need to fix the core programming files, not the problems that some plugins might bring. One step at a time, slowly slowly. And don't forget, this blog is free. You want more, then get an IP and get the full version of WordPress and customize it to the nth degree. That's the fun of WordPress - you have choices and it is still all free.
